Takhrij Hadith 950: "I saw the Messenger of…"
On the authority of Salman al-Farisi, who said:
“
I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ speaking to ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab while smiling at him, saying: "[You are] a courageous believer, generous and God-fearing, the protector of the religion, the sovereign of Islam, the light of guidance, and the abode of piety. Glad tidings to whoever follows you, and woe to whoever forsakes you" .”
