Takhrij Hadith 964: "The Messenger of Allah, peace…"

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, dispatched Abu Musa with a military expedition by sea. While they were at sea, having raised the sail on a dark night, a caller from above called out to those aboard the ship:" Stop, and I will inform you of a decree that Allah has ordained upon Himself". Abu Musa said: "Tell us, if you have something to tell". He said: "Allah, Blessed and Exalted, has ordained upon Himself that whoever makes himself thirsty for His sake on a hot summer day, Allah will give him drink on the Day of Thirst".
