I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with Abu Umayyah on the day of the Conquest [of Makkah], and I said: "O Messenger of Allah, accept my father’s pledge upon migration [Hijrah]".The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Rather, I will take his pledge upon jihad, for migration has ceased".
