Takhrij Hadith 987: "Khalid ibn al-Walid al-Makhzumi complained…"
On the authority of Sulayman ibn Buraydah that he narrated from of his father, who said:
“
Khalid ibn al-Walid al-Makhzumi complained to the Prophet ﷺ, saying: "O Messenger of Allah, I cannot sleep at night because of insomnia". The Prophet ﷺ said: "When you go to your bed, say: O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and all that they shade, Lord of the earths and all that they carry, Lord of the devils and all whom they lead astray, be my Protector against the evil of all Your creation, lest any of them oppress me or transgress against me. Mighty is Your protection, exalted is Your praise. There is no deity other than You; there is no deity but You".”
