O Jibril, will my Umah neglect the prayer? Jibril replied: O Muhammad,There will come people from your Umah who sell their religion for a small amount of this world
The messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us while we were discussing poverty and fearing it. Then he said : “Is it poverty that you fear?” By the One in whose Hand is my soul, the world [wealth] will be poured upon you abundantly, until nothing shall cause the heart of any of you to deviate except for it. By Allah, I have left you upon a [path as clear as] whiteness; its night and its day are the same .
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among his companions and said: “Is it poverty that you fear, or destitution? Or does worldly life worry you? Indeed, Allah will open the lands of Persia and Rome for you, and the worldly wealth will be poured upon you abundantly. Nothing shall lead you to deviate after I am gone—if you are to deviate at all—except it [this world]”.
