Takhrij Hadith 1100: "The Messenger of Allah wept…"

The Messenger of Allah wept one day, so they said, What makes you weep, O Messenger of Allah?, He said, I longed for my beloveds!, They said, Are we not your beloveds, O Messenger of Allah?, He said, No, you are my companions, but my beloveds are a people who will come after me, who believe in me though they have not seen me.
