he asked Aisha about the saying of Allah 'And if you fear that you will not deal justly with the orphans' she said O son of my sister this is the orphan girl who is in the lap of her guardian she shares with him in his wealth and her wealth and her beauty please him so her guardian wants to marry her without acting justly in her dowry by giving her the like of what another gives her so they were forbidden from marrying them unless they act justly with them and reach with them their highest customary dowry and they were commanded to marry what pleases them of women besides them, Urwah said, Aisha said And the people asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for a ruling after this verse so Allah sent down 'They ask you for a ruling concerning women' Aisha said And the saying of Allah in another verse 'And you desire to marry them' out of inclination away from her when she is lacking in wealth and beauty she said so they were forbidden from marrying those they desire in wealth and beauty of the orphan women except with justice because of their lack of inclination away from them if they were lacking in wealth and beauty
