Takhrij Hadith 1146: "The Arabs used to serve…"

The Arabs used to serve one another during journeys. Abu Bakr and Umar were accompanied by a man who was serving them.he slept, and when they woke up, he had not prepared any food. They said 'This a sleeper among you. They woke him up and said, 'Go to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and tell him Abu Bakr and Umar send you greetings of peace, and they ask you for a condiment. The man came to him, and the Prophet ﷺ said 'Inform them that they have already a condiment. They became startled and came to the Prophet ﷺ saying 'O Messenger of Allah, we sent for a condiment, and you said we have already one ,with what did we eat a condiment? He replied 'By eating the flesh of your brother. I can see his flesh between your front teeth. They said 'O Messenger of Allah, pray for our forgiveness. He said 'Let him ask forgiveness for you.
