Takhrij Hadith 1197: "There was an orphan girl…"

There was an orphan girl with Umm Sulaim and she is the mother of Anas, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw the orphan girl and said 'Are you she? You have indeed grown old, may your age not increase! ,So the orphan girl returned to Umm Sulaim crying. Umm Sulaim said 'What is the matter with you, O daughter? The girl said 'The Prophet of Allah ﷺ invoked against me that my age should never increase, and now my age will never increase ,or she said my years. So Umm Sulaim went out in a hurry, wrapping her head-cover, until she met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her 'What is the matter with you, O Umm Sulaim? She said 'O Prophet of Allah, did you invoke against my orphan girl? He said 'And what is that, O Umm Sulaim? She said 'She claimed that you invoked that her age should not increase, nor her years. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed, then he said 'O Umm Sulaim, do you not know what my condition is with my Lord? I have made a condition with my Lord, so I said 'Indeed, I am a human being, I am pleased as humans are pleased, and I get angry as humans get angry. So whichever person from my Ummah I invoke against with a supplication that they do not deserve, that He should make it for them a purification, a purification , and a drawing near by which He draws them near to Him on the Day of Resurrection.
