Takhrij Hadith 1222: "He saw phlegm on the…"

On the authority of Anas, that the Prophet ﷺ :

“
He saw phlegm on the qiblah wall, and it distressed him so much that it could be seen on his face. He stood up and scraped it off with his hand, then said: "When one of you stands in prayer, he is conversing privately with his Lord—or indeed, his Lord is between him and the qiblah. So let none of you spit toward the qiblah. Rather, let him spit to his left or beneath his foot." Then he took the edge of his cloak, spat into it, folded one part of it over the other, and said: "Or let him do like this."
