Takhrij Hadith 1245: "When Abu Salamah died, I…"

When Abu Salamah died, I said: 'He died as a stranger in a foreign land. I will surely weep for him in a manner that will be spoken of.' I had prepared myself to weep for him when a woman from al-Sa’id came, intending to mourn with me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ met her and said: 'Do you wish to bring Satan into a house from which Allah has expelled him twice?' So I refrained from weeping, and I did not weep."
