Takhrij Hadith 1333: "Some companions of the Messenger…"

Some companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked: "O Messenger of Allah, who are these people whom Allah mentioned—that if we turn away, He will replace us with them, and they will not be like us?" He said: —and Salman was beside the Messenger of Allah ﷺ— so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ patted Salman's thigh and said: "This man and his people. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if faith were attached to the Pleiades, men from Persia would surely attain it."
