Takhrij Hadith 1362: "He narrated from his aunt,…"

He narrated from his aunt, Umm Humayd, the wife of Abu Humayd al-Sāʿidi, that she came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: “O Messenger of Allah, I love to pray with you.” He said: “I know that you love to pray with me, but your prayer in your private room is better for you than your prayer in the courtyard of your home, your prayer in the courtyard of your home is better for you than your prayer in the wider area of your home, your prayer in the wider area of your home is better for you than your prayer in the mosque where your people pray, and your prayer in the mosque where your people pray is better for you than your prayer in my mosque.” He [the narrator] said: “So she ordered that a small mosque be built for her in the farthest and darkest part of her home, and she continued to pray there until she died.
