Hadith 1396: "The Jews were divided into seventy-one or seventy-two..."

On the authority of Abu Hurayra, who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“

The Jews were divided into seventy-one or seventy-two sects; the Christians were divided into seventy-one or seventy-two sects; and my nation will be divided into seventy-three sects.

”
