Takhrij Hadith 1413: "A man from the Ansar…"
On the authority of Isma'il al-Ansari, from his father, from his grandfather:
“
A man from the Ansar said:"O Messenger of Allah, advise me, and be concise." He ﷺ said: " Give up hope of what is in the hands of people, beware of greed, for it is immediate poverty. Pray your prayers as though you are bidding farewell, and beware of anything for which you would have to make an excuse."”
