Hadith No. 146
Language:

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“

I give you glad tidings of al-Mahdi; he shall be sent to my Ummah [nation] during a time of discord among people and earthquakes. He shall fill the earth with equity and justice, just as it had been filled with oppression and tyranny. The inhabitants of the heavens and the inhabitants of the earth shall be well-pleased with him. He shall distribute wealth Sihahan. A man asked, “What is sihahan?” He replied, “Equally among the people”. And Allah shall fill the hearts of the nation of Muhammad ﷺ with self-sufficiency, and his justice shall encompass them, until a caller cries out, "Who has any need for wealth?" None shall stand except one man, who will say, "I do". He [al-Mahdi] will say, "Go to the custodian"—meaning the treasurer—"and tell him: Indeed, al-Mahdi commands you to give me wealth". The treasurer will say to him, "Take as much as you wish!" But when he has gathered it in his lap and brought it out, he will feel regret and say, "I was the most greedy of the Ummah of Muhammad; Did that which sufficed them fail me?" .He will then attempt to return it, but it will not be accepted from him, and it will be said, "We do not take back anything we have given". This shall continue for seven, eight, or nine years; thereafter, there is no goodness in living—or he said: in life—after him.
