Takhrij Hadith 1610: "We were with the Messenger…"
It was narrated from Nafi‘ ibn Utbah, who said :
“
We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on an expedition. A group of people came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from the direction of the west, wearing woolen garments. They met him near a hillock while they were standing and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting. I said to myself: Go to them and stand between them and him so that they do not assassinate him. Then I said: Perhaps he is speaking privately with them. So I went to them and stood between them and him. I memorized four statements from him, counting them on my hand. He said: You will fight the Arabian Peninsula and Allah will grant you victory over it; then Persia and Allah will grant you victory over it; then you will fight the Romans and Allah will grant you victory over them; then you will fight the Dajjal and Allah will grant you victory over him.”
