Takhrij Hadith 1630: "Whoever wishes to advise a…"

It was narrated from ʿIyāḍ ibn Ghanm that he said to Hishām ibn Ḥakīm: Did you not hear the statement of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):

“
Whoever wishes to advise a person in authority should not do so openly. Rather, he should take him by the hand and speak to him privately. If he accepts it from him, then that is good; otherwise, he has fulfilled the duty that was upon him.
”
