Hadith 1923: "O Allah, strengthen Islam through whichever of these..."

On the authority of ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“

O Allah, strengthen Islam through whichever of these two men is more beloved to You: Abu Jahl or ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab.” He said: “The one more beloved to Him was ‘Umar.”
