Takhrij Hadith 1958: "Every deed has a period…"
'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“
Every deed has a period of zeal, and every period of zeal is followed by a period of slackening. Whoever's slackening leads him back to my Sunnah has succeeded, and whoever's slackening leads to anything other than that has perished.”
