Takhrij Hadith 1961: "“Who will commit himself to…"
On the authority of Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“
“Who will commit himself to upholding one thing for me, and I will guarantee Paradise for him?” I said: “I will.” He said: “Do not ask people for anything.” After that, if his whip fell while he [Thawban] was riding, he would not ask anyone, “Hand it to me” until he dismounted and picked it up himself.”
