Takhrij Hadith 2012: "The Muslim’s own name is…"
ʿAbdullah ibn ʿAbbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“
The Muslim’s own name is sufficient for him. If he forgets to mention Allah’s name when slaughtering an animal, then let him mention it and invoke the name of Allah, and then let him eat.”
