Takhrij Hadith 2034: "I heard ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab…"

I heard ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), while he was circumambulating the Ka‘bah, saying: «O Allah, if You have written me among the people of happiness, then keep me among them; and if You have written for me sin and misery, then erase it from me and keep me among the people of happiness. For You erase whatever You will and affirm whatever You will, and with You is the Mother of the Book.»
