Takhrij Hadith 2090: "“Who will take from me…"

“Who will take from me five qualities and act upon them, or teach them to someone who will act upon them?” I said: “I will, O Messenger of Allah.” He said: So he took my hand and counted them on it, then said: “Avoid what is forbidden, and you will be the most devout of people. Be content with what Allah has apportioned for you, and you will be the richest of people. Be good to your neighbor, and you will be a believer. Love for people what you love for yourself, and you will be a Muslim. And do not laugh excessively, for excessive laughter deadens the heart.”
