Takhrij Hadith 2116: "ʿIsa ibn Maryam (Jesus, son…"
On the authority of Jabir ibn ʿAbdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“
ʿIsa ibn Maryam (Jesus, son of Mary) will descend, and their leader, al-Mahdi, will say: “Come and lead us in prayer.” He will say: “No, some of you are leaders over others, as an honor from Allah to this nation”.”
