Takhrij Hadith 232: "Whenever the Messenger of Allah…"
‘Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said:
“
Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded them to do deeds, he would command them only with what they were able to do. They said: “We are not like you, O Messenger of Allah, for Allah has forgiven your past and future sins”. Then he became angry until anger could be seen on his face, and he said: “Indeed, I am the most Allah-fearing of you and the most knowledgeable of Allah among you”.”
