Takhrij Hadith 368: "I came to the Prophet…"

I came to the Prophet ﷺ while there was bread and dates before him. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Come near and eat”. So I began eating some of the dates. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Are you eating dates while you have an eye inflammation?” I replied: “I am chewing on the other side”. Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled.
