Takhrij Hadith 407: "One day, while we were…"

One day, while we were sitting in the courtyard of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he came out to us with a radiant face, beaming with joy. We stood up to greet him and said: “May Allah gladden you, O Messenger of Allah. We are delighted to see the brightness on your face”. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Jibril has just come to me and brought me the glad tidings that Allah has granted me the right of intercession, and it is for the sinful members of my nation who are burdened with sins.
