Takhrij Hadith 409: "The Prophet ﷺ was guarded…"

The Prophet ﷺ was guarded by his Companions. One night, I woke up and looked around, but I could not find him. All kinds of worries came over me, so I went out searching for him. While searching, I met Mu'adh, who had experienced the same concern. Then we heard a sound like the humming of a grinding mill, so we stopped where we were. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then came from the direction of that sound and said: “Do you know where I was and what I was doing? A messenger came to me from my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, and gave me the choice between half of my nation entering Paradise and being granted the right of intercession. So I chose intercession”. They said: “O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah to make us among those included in your intercession”. He replied: “You, and everyone who dies without associating anything with Allah, are included in my intercession”.
