Takhrij Hadith 450: "Jibril came to me and…"

Jibril came to me and said: “O Muhammad, Islam is made up of ten shares, and whoever has no share in them is indeed deprived. The first is the testimony that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah. The second is prayer, and it is purification. The third is Zakat, and it is the natural disposition. The fourth is fasting, and it is a shield. The fifth is Hajj (pilgrimage), and it is the sacred law. The sixth is Jihad, and it is the military expedition. The seventh is enjoining what is good, and it is loyalty. The eighth is forbidding what is evil, and it is the proof. The ninth is the congregation (the community), and it is harmony. The tenth is obedience, and it is protection”.
