Takhrij Hadith 452: "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ…"

The Prophet of Allah ﷺ was visited by Jibril, who said: “O Muhammad, indeed the Ummah will face tribulations after you”. The Prophet asked: “What is the way out, O Jibril?” Jibril replied: “The Book of Allah. In it is the chronicle of those before you, the news of what is to come after you, and the judgment for what is between you. It is the firm rope of Allah, it is the straight path, and it is a decisive word, not a matter of amusement. Indeed, no tyrant abandons this Qur’an to act upon something else except that Allah breaks him; and whoever seeks knowledge outside of it, Allah leaves him to go astray. It does not become worn out by frequent repetition, and its wonders never cease. Whoever speaks by it tells the truth; whoever judges by it acts justly; whoever acts upon it is rewarded; and whoever distributes by it deals equitably”.
