Hadith 51
Language:

It was narrated from Mu’adh ibn Jabal:

“

When he returned from Yemen, where the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had sent him, he arrived wearing a silver ring engraved with 'Muhammad the Messenger of Allah.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him: 'O Mu’adh, what is this ring?' He replied: 'O Messenger of Allah, I used to write letters to people and feared that something might be added to them or taken away from them, so I took a ring to seal them.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked: 'What is engraved on it?' Mu’adh said: 'Muhammad the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Everything of Mu’adh has believed, even his ring.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took it and wore it himself.
