Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“

Allah took Abraham as His close friend, and Moses as one spoken to intimately, and He took me as His Beloved. Then He said: “By My Might and My Majesty, I shall surely give preference to My Beloved over My close Friend and the one spoken to intimately”.
