Takhrij Hadith 533: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ…"
A man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ narrated:
“
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us on a red, earmarked she-camel, and said: “Do you know what day this is?” We said: “It is the Day of Sacrifice”. He said: “You have spoken the truth. It is the Greatest Day of Pilgrimage. Do you know what month this is?” We said: “It is Dhul-Hijjah”. He said: “You have spoken the truth. It is Allah’s sacred month. Do you know what place this is?” We said: “It is al-Mash'ar al-Haram (the Sacred Monument)”. He said: “You have spoken the truth. Indeed, your blood and your wealth are sacred and inviolable to one another, just as sacred as this day of yours, in this month of yours, and in this place of yours”—or he said: “just as sacred as this day of yours, this month of yours, and this place of yours”. He said: “Indeed, I will precede you to the Pond, waiting for you there. I will take pride in your great numbers before the other nations, so do not cause my face to be darkened with shame. Indeed, you have seen me and heard from me, and you will be questioned about me. Whoever lies about me, let him take his seat in the Fire”. He said: “Indeed, I will rescue some men—or some people—and others will be taken away from me. Then I will say: "My Lord, my companions!" It will be said: "You do not know what they introduced after you”.”
