We administered medicine through the side of the mouth to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) during his illness, and he said: “Do not administer medicine to me”. We thought this was merely the dislike of a sick person for medicine. When he regained consciousness, he said: “Let every single one of you be given medicine in the side of your mouth, except for Al-Abbas, for he was not present with you.”
