Takhrij Hadith 621: "I asked: "O Messenger of…"

On the authority of a man from the tribe of Balhujaym:

“
I asked: "O Messenger of Allah, to what do you call?" He replied: "I call to Allah alone—the One who, if harm touches you and you supplicate to Him, removes it from you; and who, if you go astray in a barren desert land and you supplicate to Him, guides you back; and who, if a year of drought afflicts you and you supplicate to Him, causes vegetation to grow for you". The man said: I said: "So advise me". He replied: "Do not insult anyone. Do not belittle any good deed, even if it is only meeting your brother with a cheerful face, or pouring some water from your bucket into the container of one who is seeking water. Wear your lower garment so that it reaches halfway down your calves; if you will not do that, then let it reach your ankles. Beware of letting your garment hang below the ankles, for letting the lower garment trail is an act of arrogance, and Allah does not love arrogance".
