Takhrij Hadith 676: "My father gave me a…"
‘Amir narrated: I heard Al-Nuʿman ibn Bashir (may Allah be pleased with them both), while he was on the pulpit, say:
“
My father gave me a gift. Then ‘Amrah bint Rawahah said: "I will not be satisfied until you have the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bear witness to it". So my father went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "I have given my son, from ‘Amrah bint Rawahah, a gift, and she instructed me to ask you to witness it, O Messenger of Allah". The Prophet ﷺ asked: "Have you given all your other children a gift like this?" He replied: "No". The Prophet ﷺ said: "Fear Allah and be just among your children". So he returned and took back his gift".”
