Takhrij Hadith 698: "Usamah stumbled over the threshold…"

Usamah stumbled over the threshold of the door and cut his face. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Remove the blood from him”. I found it unpleasant to do so, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ began sucking the blood from the wound and spitting it away from his face. Then he said: “If Usamah had been a young girl, I would have adorned her and clothed her until I found her a husband”.
