Takhrij Hadith 850: "The most beloved of deeds…"
On the authority of 'Ismah, he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“
The most beloved of deeds to Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, is Sibhat al-Hadith (remembering Allah during talk), and the most hated of deeds to Allah is Al-Tahdeef. We asked: “O Messenger of Allah, what is Sibhat al-Hadith?” He replied: “A group of people are talking, while a man among them is glorifying Allah”. We asked: “O Messenger of Allah, what is Al-Tahdeef?” He replied: “A group of people are well-off, yet when a neighbor or companion asks them [how they are], they say: "We are in bad shape" complaining about their condition”.”
