Takhrij Hadith 914: "We went as part of…"

We went as part of the delegation of Sadus to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. We brought with us some Judhami dates that had been presented to him as a gift, having brought them back from al-Barur—the Barur of Banu ‘Umayr. We spread the dates out before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a leather mat. He took a handful of them and asked: "What kind of dates are these?" We replied: "These are Judhami dates." He said: "May Allah bless the Judhami, the orchard from which these came, and the garden from which these came."
