Takhrij Hadith 979: "Allah sent Jibril to Adam…"

Allah sent Jibril to Adam and Hawwa and said to them: “Build a House for Me”. Jibril marked out its boundaries for them, and Adam began digging while Hawwa carried away the soil, until the water answered him. Then a voice called out from beneath him: “That is enough, O Adam”. When they had built it, Allah revealed to him that he should circumambulate it, and he was told: “You are the first of mankind, and this is the first House”. Then the generations passed, until Nuh performed pilgrimage to it. Then the generations continued to pass until Ibrahim raised its foundations”.
