Takhrij Hadith 998: ""Shall I narrate to you…"

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, that he said to Ka'b:

“
"Shall I narrate to you from Abu al-Qasim ﷺ?" He said: "Yes." So they arranged to meet one night in one of Mu'awiyah's domed pavilions, and the people gathered around them. Throughout the entire night, Abu Hurayrah continued saying: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said" and "Abu al-Qasim said" until morning came. Ka'b did not respond to him except regarding three hadiths. Abu Hurayrah said: "While Sulayman ibn Dawud was proceeding with his procession, he passed by a woman crying out to her son: "O Ya La Din (O you without religion)!" He stopped and said: "Indeed, the religion of Allah shall prevail." Then he sent for the woman and asked her about it. She said: "My husband traveled, and he had a business partner. His partner claimed that he had died and had instructed that if I gave birth to a son, I should name him Ya La Din." So Sulayman summoned the partner, and he confessed that he had killed him. Thereupon, Sulayman put him to death."
