Takhrij Hadith 1345: "A man said: "O Messenger…"

A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have relatives with whom I try to maintain ties of kinship, but they sever them with me; I treat them well, but they treat me ill; and I am patient and forbearing with them, but they act ignorantly and harshly toward me!" He ﷺ said: "If you are as you say, then it is as though you are feeding them hot ashes. And there will continue to be a supporter from Allah with you against them so long as you remain upon that."
