Takhrij Hadith 1585: "That his grandmother Khayrah -the…"
It was narrated from Abdullah ibn Yahya, a man from the descendants of Ka‘b ibn Malik, from his father, from his grandfather :
“
That his grandmother Khayrah -the wife of Ka‘b ibn Malik- came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with some jewelry of hers and said: I have given this in charity. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: It is not permissible for a woman to dispose of her wealth except with her husband’s permission. Have you asked Ka‘b for permission?. She said: Yes. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent to Ka‘b ibn Malik and said: Did you permit Khayrah to give her jewelry in charity?. He said: Yes. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted it from her.”
