Takhrij Hadith 813: "Al-Aswad ibn Wahb sought permission…"

Al-Aswad ibn Wahb sought permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ spread his cloak for him. He then said: “Sit down, O maternal uncle, for a maternal uncle is [like] a father”. ‘Aisha said: I never heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ call him by his name; he only addressed him as "O maternal uncle".
