Takhrij Hadith 825: "I was among the People…"

I was among the People of the Suffah. One day, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for a loaf of bread. He broke it into a bowl, poured warm water over it, added some melted fat, then crumbled it, mixed it well, and stirred it thoroughly. He then said: "Go and bring me ten men—you shall be the tenth". So I brought them. He said: "Eat, and eat from the bottom of it. Do not eat from its top, for the blessing descends from its top". They ate from it until they were satisfied.
