Takhrij Hadith 30: " Food was brought to…"
Abdullah bin ‘Ubaid narrated :
“
Food was brought to the messenger of Allah ﷺ , and ‘Aicha said to him: “O prophet of Allah, If you would eat while reclining, It would be more comfortable for you”. Then he lowered his forehead until it almost touched the ground, and he said: “Rather, I eat as a servant eats, and I am sitting as a servant sits; for indeed I am but a servant”. The prophet ﷺ used to sit poised.”
