Takhrij Hadith 687: ""The best of you are…"
On the authority of ‘Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: The Prophet ﷺ said:
“
"The best of you are my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them". ‘Imran said: "I do not know whether the Prophet ﷺ mentioned two generations after his own or three". The Prophet ﷺ then said: "After you there will come people who will betray and not be trustworthy, who will give testimony without being asked to testify, who will make vows but will not fulfill them, and obesity will become apparent among them".”
